Degree Audit Setup
Before performing a degree audit evaluation for a student, the following
components must be defined for a particular Revision (also known as Catalog)
Term:
- Courses
- Lowest units in the Degree Audit hierarchy and are usually units
of study specific subjects
- Groups
- Combinations of one or more courses defining how the courses fit
into the group requirement
- Requirements
- Combinations of one or more group defining how groups fit into the
requirement
- Programs
- Composed of one or more requirements, and when combined with the
degree, defines the degree programs awarded to students achieving
the criteria specified in the degree audit
- Degrees
- Highest units in the Degree Audit hierarchy, and when combined with
a program, defines the degree programs awarded to students achieving
the criteria specified in the degree audit. Examples are BA, BS, MBA,
MHA, etc.
Once these degree audit elements have been set up as default values
for a particular revision term, you can use them to perform degree audit
evaluations for students. The degree audit setup can also be customize,
if necessary in Student Degree Audit on
an individual basis when performing an evaluation for a student.
